1. Purpose

At Green Cart Online Store, we believe in creating value beyond profit. Our Social Responsibility Policy reflects our commitment to ethical practices, environmental stewardship, local agricultural development, and meaningful community impact, in alignment with the mission and objectives of the Cape Town Agricultural Association (CTAA).


2. Our Commitments

2.1. Supporting Local Agriculture

We are committed to promoting and selling products from local farmers, cooperatives, and producers, especially those who follow sustainable and ethical farming practices. This supports local economic development and aligns with CTAA’s goal of promoting excellence and innovation in agriculture.

2.2. Fair Trade and Ethical Sourcing

Green Cart prioritizes suppliers and partners who comply with fair labour practices, environmental regulations, and transparent supply chains. We work to ensure that all stakeholders benefit fairly from the value chain.

2.3. Environmental Responsibility
  • We promote eco-friendly packaging and actively work to reduce waste in our logistics and delivery operations.
  • We educate customers on sustainable consumption through awareness campaigns, product labelling, and digital resources.
  • We support CTAA-led environmental initiatives, including water-wise agriculture and conservation.

4. Monitoring and Reporting

We maintain transparency in our social impact efforts and publish an annual Social Responsibility Report, outlining our achievements, challenges, and future goals. Stakeholders are welcome to provide feedback at any time.


5. Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed annually in consultation with the CTAA to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness.
